Fermaid® K is a blended complex yeast nutrient that supplies ammonia salts (DAP), free amino acids (organic nitrogen derived from inactivated yeast), sterols, unsaturated fatty acids, key nutrients (magnesium sulfate, thiamin, folic acid, niacin, biotin, calcium pantothenate) and inactive yeast.
Fermaid K is normally used in conjunction with GO-Ferm (a yeast rehydration nutrient) and added to the fermenting wine after 1/3 sugar depletion.
The unsaturated fatty acids and sterols available in Fermaid K are important survival factors needed to maintain alcohol resistance. You do not need to add any additional fertilizers or DAP when adding Fermaid K.
Use: approximately 1 gram per gallon. Rehydrate in distilled water.
A rough approximate of weight is 1 tsp = 4.7 grams. We highly recommend using a scale to weigh the product for an accurate dose. We do not recommend relying on these rough conversions for accurate dosage rates.
